![]() The Pistoresi Ambulance Employee's Association (P.A.E.A.) was formed at the end of 1993 and the bylaws and governing board were elected by the employees in January 1994. All of the full time employees and most of the part time employees participate in the Employee Association. Each member contributes approximately $10.00 per month to help maintain expenses. The paramedics and EMT's of Pistoresi Ambulance wanted to have some input into certain operational decisions, such as equipment purchases and employee benefits. The thought was that if the employer knew the employees backed certain ideas and/or changes, then perhaps the changes could take place more easily. Another benefit of the associations was to provide an opportunity for the employees to do things together 'away' from work and to help keep them a 'close knit group'. The owner of Pistoresi Ambulance, Monte Pistoresi, has been very supportive of our Association. He has participated in meetings when invited, helped with the financial organization, and has allowed the use of his offices for us to have our meetings. Many times he has also contributed financially to our fundraisers. The Pistoresi Ambulance Employee's Association has also wanted to give something back to the community. For 3 years we have been hosting a co-ed softball tournament between local EMS, Law enforcement, and Prisons, with the proceeds from the event going to local charities. The charity is usually one that helps the less fortunate families in our area. Up to $500.00 has been given away each of the last 3 years.
